Dashdoc Is Hiring!

Product/Software Engineer, BeNeLux Expansion (Dutch speaker)

About

🚀 Who are we?

Dashdoc is a SaaS Transport Management System (TMS) for both carriers (companies that operate trucks) and shippers (industrial companies that ship goods).

We help companies digitalize their transport activities and share transport management on a unique platform. Think Google Drive for transports!

🔭 Our vision

The road freight transportation industry is experiencing a major shake-up with automation and driverless trucks, connectivity, and low-carbon technologies. And for too long carriers, shippers and truckers have been pushed to use complex, expensive, and poorly designed software tools that are not adapted to their needs.

That is why we started Dashdoc.

We want to change the industry by bringing technology at the service of transport professionals. We believe that transport has always been about people, and we want to accompany their digital transformation with tools that are not not only useful, but delightful to use.

⚖️ Our values : CAPS

  • 🤝 Care : we are committed to the wellbeing of our clients, our team, and our environment
  • 🚀 Ambition : we aim to achieve the maximum positive impact
  • 🔥 Passion : we love what we do, and we are eager to improve
  • ⏱️ Speed : we move fast and we waste no time

Job Description

🛠 Tech Team and Technical Stack

We are building the infrastructure and interfaces necessary to optimize the main processes of road freight transport.

Currently, the tech team consists of 40 people; you will have a significant impact on the evolution of the company and the product!

The product is divided into three parts: the API, the mobile app, and the web app. The apps are developed in React/React-Native. The API is developed in Python/Django with Django Rest Framework, uses PostgreSQL, and is hosted on Google Cloud.

Our product is very wide with a lot of features, and we have to work hard to keep it as simple and user friendly as possible and at the same time easy to develop and maintain.

How we work

We use the Shape Up method to organize the teams. Our timeline is organized in 8-week cycles consisting of 6 weeks of feature development followed by 2 weeks of cooldown where the tech team can focus on refactoring, bug fixing, performance improvements.

You can read more about it on our tech blog.

We operate with continuous deployment (Github/Github Actions) and release new product enhancements every day, with feature flags to ensure smooth delivery.

🚀 The Mission

You'll be the engineering entrepreneurial force behind Dashdoc's expansion in Belgium and the Netherlands, a market where local specifics (Digital waste regulations, e-CMR mandates, Dutch/Flemish accounting standards, regional carrier workflows) regularly stand between us and signing or deploying the next customer.

Your job is to turn those blockers into shipped features, fast.

Concretely, you will:

  • Own the BeNeLux product gap. Work directly with our Belgian and Dutch sales, CSM, and customers to identify the specific features, integrations, and localizations blocking deals, then build them.

  • Ship end-to-end, from conception to production. Spec, design, build (React/React Native + Django), deploy, measure.

  • Be in the field. Spend time with carriers in Antwerp, Rotterdam, Ghent, Eindhoven. Watch dispatchers use the product. Read the contracts.

  • Shape the BeNeLux roadmap alongside Product and the local commercial team, with a clear line of sight to revenue impact.

  • Use AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) to multiply your output.

Preferred Experience

  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and product sense, you love solving problems for users!

  • You are autonomous and can develop features from conception to completion: You're comfortable being the only engineer in the room with a customer, a salesperson, or a regulatory document, and turning that conversation into a spec by the end of the day.

  • You use AI coding tools - Claude Code, Codex, Pi, Cursor; and you're motivated to learn how to use them well

  • Writing clean code is important to you

  • You are always looking for ways to simplify existing code and you love a PR that deletes lines :)

  • You have a great attention to detail, and make sure the experience you're building for users is top-notch

  • You can communicate clearly in writing

  • You have a good knowledge of React and its optimization

  • Bonus: you have experience working on a complex SaaS platform or social network

  • Ambitious: you've previously taken a feature from a customer conversation to production without a PM holding your hand

  • Hard worker: You measure yourself on outcomes shipped, not hours worked.

  • Dutch is mandatory because you'll spend time with Dutch and Flemish customers, read local contracts and regulations, and sometimes be the only Dutch speaker in a product discussion. English is necessary and French is optional.
